# Buy on Microsoft Marketplace

> Buy an annual plan on Microsoft Marketplace, understand when billing starts, and connect the purchase to your Organization.

The two annual plans are sold on
[Microsoft Marketplace](https://marketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/product/generalvalidation.general-validation-platform)
and billed through your Microsoft account. Plan sizes and the trial are described on

## Purchase and connect

Marketplace plans are billed annually in advance through your Microsoft
account, and General Validation issues no separate invoice for them. Microsoft
activates the subscription and starts billing when you complete the purchase,
even if you still need to connect it to General Validation. Review the plan,
agreed price, term, and renewal settings before buying.

For an existing trial Organization, buy for the same Microsoft directory using
the work account you use as its Owner. General Validation connects that purchase
automatically. Return to **Billing** and refresh to check your plan and Table
Pair limit. Your Organization, members, Table Pairs, Tests, and Results stay in
place.

If your Organization already has a paid subscription or an unfinished direct
payment, manage that subscription or contact
[support@generalvalidation.com](mailto:support@generalvalidation.com) before
buying another one. Each Organization has one billing provider.

## Finish a connection when needed

Use **Configure account** when the purchase needs an Organization or another
Owner's approval, or if the expected plan has not appeared in Billing.

1. Open your SaaS purchase in Microsoft's portal and choose **Configure account**.
2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that purchased or received the
   subscription, then start the Organization connection.
3. Open the review link as an Owner of the General Validation Organization
   receiving the purchase. If someone else owns that Organization, share the
   link with them. If you need a new Organization, create it in General
   Validation first, then reopen the review link.
4. Review the plan and Organization, then confirm the connection. When the buyer
   is also the Owner, this completes the connection in one action. If a different
   Owner approves it, return to the buyer page to finish the connection.
5. If confirmation is pending, choose **Check activation**. Once the subscription
   is active, open your workspace and check **Billing**.

General Validation applies paid access after verifying the purchase and its
Organization connection. Connecting a subscription does not create Fabric
resources or set up your Environment. See

Because an Organization has one billing provider, activation is refused while
another subscription or an unfinished direct payment, including a pending ACH
payment, exists. If you subscribed monthly in the app and want to move to
Marketplace, contact
[support@generalvalidation.com](mailto:support@generalvalidation.com) before
purchasing so the subscriptions do not overlap. Each Marketplace plan has a
quantity of one, and Marketplace free trials are not accepted because General
Validation provides its own trial. If your activation link expires, return to
your purchase in Marketplace and choose **Configure account** again.

After activation, Billing shows Provider as Azure Marketplace and
offers **Manage in Azure Marketplace**: in the Azure portal, open SaaS and
select your subscription. Renewal, supported plan changes, suspension, and
cancellation all happen there, and General Validation updates your plan after
Microsoft reports the change. Cancelling does not delete your Organization, its
configuration, or any resource in your Fabric tenant.
