# Dataset Discovery Source required

> Resolve dataset.discovery_source_required in General Validation.

`dataset.discovery_source_required` · dataset

Metadata refresh requires a Dataset imported from a registered Discovery Source. Import the Dataset from its source before requesting a refresh.
