# Discovery source grant missing

> Resolve discovery.grant_missing in General Validation.

`discovery.grant_missing` · discovery

General Validation cannot read metadata from the source Data Factory. Ask an Azure administrator to review the source permissions required by environment setup, then retry.

If the problem continues, contact [support](mailto:support@generalvalidation.com) with the error code and request or Run ID. Keep source rows, exact values, credentials, and evidence files in your Azure environment.
